Good posture is important for optimal health. Good posture allows the muscles to function processes, improves breathing and helps prevent injury. Improving posture can help reduce back pain, decrease headaches, decrease risk of arthritis and improve energy.
One way to improve posture is to start with core strengthening. Everything related to posture is centered around the core. Plank exercises is one of the most basic but effective way to strengthen the core.
Another exercise is to sit on a bench against a wall and press your shoulder blades and head against the wall. Sit for 30 seconds breathing in and out slowly. Allow your body to adjust to this position.
